As a transferee, what if I want to coordinate elements of my own move?

Harborside Relocation Management is a full-service relocation company and can assist with any transfer need you might have.  We also understand that every transferee and every move is unique, which is why we welcome our clients to participate at any level they wish.  However, due to the nature of our business, clients are asked to work with Harborside as they locate and purchase their new home.  In doing so, we are able to offer a variety of non-fee based services.  It is also important to keep in mind that Harborside may be able to help you secure discounts on many services – such as movers or interim housing – which otherwise may not be available to transferees working on their own.

Because of Harborside’s level of experience, and that of the agents with whom we work, we can complete a transfer in as short as 30 days.  Naturally, if more time is allowed, our clients have additional time to explore the various options a new city may hold.

Do corporate employees work directly with Harborside or does a company representative need to be involved?

Once your corporation has set up an account with Harborside Relocation Management, and you have been approved as a transferee by your company, you will be assigned a dedicated Relocation Specialist.  Most companies ask that you work directly with that person as opposed to involving a company representative. 

How does a corporation initiate doing business with Harborside?

Beginning a relationship with Harborside is simple.  The first step is to contact our office at 410-828-4260 in order to establish an account.  Once an account is established, a company can begin referring its transferees to our staff.  Interested corporations should note that we are always happy to provide proposals for our services.

I am confused by my company’s relocation contract.  Can Harborside assist me?

Yes.  Harborside is happy to review corporate relocation contracts with transferees. 

What elements can I expect to find in my orientation/relocation package?

Your orientation/relocation package will provide you with a wealth of information.  Tailored to your specific move, some of the details you can expect to see include  information on buying and selling a home, departure services, destination services, moving household goods and information about the community into which you are moving.

Can Harborside help me with packing services as well?

Yes.  Harborside has a number of well-established relationships with van line companies.  Your Relocation Specialist will also be able to extend discounts on these services.

How is my Real Estate Agent selected?

Harborside believes in integrity.  That is why we work only with the areas most reputable Real Estate agents.  We believe that having a strong personality match between a transferee and an agent is key and as a result, Harborside diligently matches each transferee with an appropriate agent.  If at any time you are not satisfied with your real estate agent, Harborside will help you select another.
